- Think of a specific moment when you did take the risk of contributing something imperfect, incomplete, or possibly wrong. What was present in that room that made it feel possible?
- Reread the Wheel of Power and Privilege, or its Japan-adapted counterpart, from earlier in this module. Where do you sit on it? How might your position affect the psychological risk you carry when asked to speak in class?
- This chapter distinguishes between a classroom that uses active learning methods and a classroom that has psychological safety. Can you recall a classroom that had one without the other? What was the effect?
- What is one specific, concrete practice from this chapter that you would want a future instructor of yours to adopt?
